edcom Vacation Manager in use at QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH

Consumers want their fresh food to be safe. As part of a network of over 25,000 outlets and about 180,000 system partners, QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH in Bonn ensures that all statutory regulations and specific requirements for food safety are adhered to. The international company with a staff of 70 uses the edcom Vacation Manager for Microsoft Office 365 to manage leave and business trip requests.

At the beginning of 2021, after migrating to Sharepoint Online, QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH was looking for a solution for managing leave and business trip requests. They wanted a streamlined, user-friendly tool.


As part of an existing collaboration with the TIMETOACT GROUP, QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH got in touch with the Group’s subsidiary, edcom. edcom’s Vacation Manager für Microsoft Office 365, which we have continued to develop for collaboration with the Microsoft world since 2019, was just what QS needed for simple leave-request management. After just a few days of testing they knew they’d found what they were looking for. You, too, can put it through its paces as a demo version. We developed a client-specific program to meet QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH’s requirement to manage business trip requests including business trip expenses using the same tool.


After adjustment of the developed solution and an additional test phase, the HR tool was implemented. All employees use the edcom Vacation Manager as an HR tool for approving and managing leave and business trip requests.


The company is pleased with how it works. Continued user acceptance indicates that the requirement from the original briefing for the solution to be stable and easy to use has been met.

Customers can recognize products from the QS association by the QS label. The goal is to strengthen consumer trust in fresh produce every day, and consumers in Germany can rest assured that their fresh food products meet safety standards.
